Jem & Charlotte get married at Portscatho, Cornwall
When I first met Jem and Charlotte their original plan was to get married in Somerset, but after deciding that the venue they booked didn’t reflect them as people they had a change of heart, as well as a change of county! And so, it was off to Cornwall we went!
Instead using an established wedding venue, Jem and Charlotte hired Froe House at St Anthony, Portscatho, a truly beautiful cottage with spectacular views of the Percuil River. For someone like myself, who loves expansive, rural environments, this was a real treat, not only to work within, but also to photograph.
Wanting to take full advantage of such a stunning location, I arrived early to fully scope out and plan the days shoot, testing and prepping locations, working out exactly where I wanted to position myself, but more importantly, where I wanted Jem and Charlotte to sit, stand and walk for their Cornwall wedding photography. Waiting for high tide, as well as the perfect light, we went for a little evening walk along the river side, taking in the views and the hidden corners around Froe House and its gardens and waterways, making for some unique, elegant Cornwall wedding photography.
