Athelhampton House Wedding Photography
Matt & Alyce's get married at Athelhampton House
A trip to the south coast was the order of the day for a spot of Dorset wedding photography at Athelhampton House in Tolpuddle. With Matt and Alyce living so close to such a beautiful venue as Athelhampton House, having their wedding there really must have been a very easy decision to make. The grounds were stunning, making a fantastic setting for some beautiful shots of just Matt and Alyce, and even though the rain set in during the afternoon, it wasn't a problem as the 15th century house proved just as picturesque.
Before the wedding Alyce enquired as to if I could take a couple of specific photos; of Matt and Alyce surround by a sparkler trail. This is a tricky shot to pull off, but loving a challenge so I jumped at the chance! Such a shot requires certain conditions to be met, and without all of them being met the shot would fail for one reason or another. So when the sun went down armed with a handful of sparklers, I headed out in to the gardens to find the darkest spot I could. It didn't take long to work get set up (although the biggest problem turned out to be that I'm not too good at drawing hearts with sparklers!), so with Matt & Alyce in place, and me running about like a fool, we ended up with some pretty stunning Dorset wedding photography.
